Product FAQs

Will Pulsar Plus work with my electric vehicle?

Yes. Pulsar Plus is compatible with all electric vehicles sold in North America, including Tesla, Ford, Rivian, Hyundai, Kia, GM, and more.

  • J1772 version: Works with all non-Tesla EVs and Tesla vehicles using an adapter (not included).
  • NACS version: Connects directly to Tesla vehicles, no adapter required.

If you switch EV brands in the future, your Pulsar Plus will continue to work.

How fast can Pulsar Plus charge my car?

Pulsar Plus is a Level 2 EV charger delivering:

  • Up to 40 amps (9.6 kW)
  • Up to 48 amps (11.5 kW) on select models

That typically adds 30–40 miles of range per hour, depending on your vehicle and electrical setup.

Compared to a standard 120V outlet, Level 2 charging is up to 9x faster.

Is Pulsar Plus suitable for outdoor installation?

Yes. Pulsar Plus is rated NEMA Type 4, meaning it’s weather-resistant and built for reliable indoor or outdoor use in rain, snow, heat, and cold.

It operates in temperatures ranging from -22°F to 122°F (-30°C to 50°C), making it suitable for most U.S. climates year-round.

It also meets UL safety standards for long-term electrical protection.

What’s included in the box?

Each Pulsar Plus includes:

  • EV charger unit
  • 25-foot charging cable
  • Connector (J1772 or NACS)
  • Wall mounting hardware (including screws)
  • Cable holster
  • Product manual
  • NEMA 14-50 plug (40A version only)

Everything you need to get started!

What electrical setup do I need at home?

Pulsar Plus requires a 240V (Level 2) circuit and can be installed in one of two ways:

It can be installed using:

  • Plug-in installation: Using a NEMA 14-50 outlet (40A only)
  • Hardwired installation: Direct connection for higher power output (48A only)

A licensed electrician can quickly confirm compatibility, most standard residential panels support 40A installations without major upgrades.

How much does it cost to install a home EV charger?

Installation typically ranges from $500–$2,000, depending on:

  • Panel capacity
  • Distance from the panel
  • Permit requirements
  • Plug-in vs. hardwired setup

Federal tax credits and local rebates may reduce total installation costs.

What is the difference between Plus and Pro?

The Pulsar Pro supports secure user authentication via RFID or the Wallbox app, remote monitoring, and dynamic load management to distribute available power across multiple chargers.

This allows property owners and businesses to expand EV charging access without overloading electrical capacity or requiring expensive infrastructure upgrades.

Perfect for:

  • Apartment and condo buildings
  • Workplace parking
  • Multi-unit residential properties
  • Fleet depots
